- Always exceed expectations of your customers
- Give your regular customers free stuff – can be small but always works
- Always reward loyal and regular customers
- Give ALL customers a reason to come back – can be as simple as offering movie tickets
- Create a “customer only” section on your website – make them feel like a VIP and they’ll spend like a VIP
- Ask customers for their feedback – it’s a gift
- Listen to your customers
- Show empathy
- Resolve or refer any problems
- Always follow up for customers
- Know your customers, send them greeting cards, send them relevant articles, even write them a hand written note
- Leave a “tip” on your answering machine
- Create the right mood and ambience for the customer – it will go a long way
- Recognise the lifetime value of the customer i.e. your customers children could be your future customers
- Be honest
- Be culturally aware
- It’s great to have great customer service but you need a great product first
